For this assignment, you will analyze and write a film review.
- Find a negative review of the movie we cover in class and examine each of the points made by the reviewer. To what extent are these points valid?
- Write your own review of this same movie. This assignment is more than simply giving a 5-star (or 1-star) rating. You need to demonstrate that you have actually paid attention to the film. You need to fully analyze the storyline, characters / actors, and themes. Aim to write a total of over 300 words (about one page).
Although the teacher will grade most of the assignment, self-assessment and peer assessment are also important, as seen in the rubric below (the teacher has the final judgement of the quality):
