MCR3U Cumulative Final Project
 __ /10 Knowledge (K), __ /10 Application (A), __ /10 Communication (C), __ /10 Thinking (T), __ /40 Total Marks

For this assessment, you will expand on the focused conversation skills you learned to present one of your blog entries regarding the application of mathematical concepts of the course. You will make a live video presentation, and it must contain a word problem based on concepts discussed in this course. The presentation must be at least five minutes in length, and you must be able to respond to the teacher’s questions related to your presentation topic.

Although the teacher will grade this assignment, self assessment and peer assessment are also important, as seen in the rubric below (the teacher has the final judgement of the quality):

Categories

Level 1 (50-59%)

Level 2 (60-69%)

Level 3 (70-79%)

Level 4 (80-100%)

Knowledge

Limited understanding of the concepts

Some understanding of the concepts

Good understanding of the concepts

Excellent understanding of the concepts

Application

Limited skills in presenting work: boring to watch

Some skill in presenting work: mildly interesting to watch

Skill demonstrated in presenting work: interesting

Excellent level of skill in presenting work: very interesting to watch

Communication

Shows little effort to communicate correctly

Several distracting communication errors

Few distracting communication errors

No distracting errors in communication

Thinking

Limited thought, shows little effort, does not show learning

Includes some interesting points but may not be useful

Evidence of thoughtfulness, good answers

Insightful, shows learning, and useful, interesting answers

Self-Assessment

What mark do I deserve for this assignment? Refer to the rubric and provide reasons for why you deserve this mark.
